- Abstract: This article presents new information about familial and social connections, gleaned from a partially preserved Greek-style testament in the papyrus collection of the University of Oslo Library. The will (P. Oslo inv. 1037+1178, TM 1001314) was drawn up at Ptolemais Euergetis, probably in the late second century CE. In light of the new information, we review the known evidence concerning two Arsinoite elite families with ties to Tebtunis, that of Sabeinos alias Ninnos and the family of the notary Achilleus, grandson of Lurius, in an attempt to connect hitherto unconnected pieces of evidence, expand the family trees, elucidate the relations between family members and better understand their activities and social network.
