- Title:
- Reaction of potassium germabenzenide with benzil: Unusual ring opening to form a unique polycyclic penta-coordinated germanate
- Publication:
-
Berlin: de Gruyter, 2024
- Language:
- English
- Information:
- Abstract: The reaction of potassium 2-t-Bu-germabenzenide, in which the anionic carbon atom of phenyl anion is replaced with a germanium atom, with benzil resulted in the 1:2 reaction to give a unique penta-coordinated germanate having a 1,3,2-dioxagermole skeleton. This clearly reflects the characteristics of the germabenzenide as a divalent germanium species.
