Wenn w i r w i r k l i c h d a m i t e r n s t m a c h e n , k l a s s e n m ä ß i g e G e b u n d e n h e i t i m Denken zu ü b e r w i n d e n , ob e s die P r o l e t a r i e r k l a s s e m i t i h r e r Gebundenheit ist oder der Großgrundbesitzer f r ü h e r e r Z e i t , d e r in d e r h i e s i g e n Zone d e m n ä c h s t e i n e M u s e u m s e r s c h e i nung s e i n d ü r f t e , o d e r ob e s die K a p i t a l i s t e n sind, a l l e d i e s e B i n d u n g e n s o l l e n n i c h t d a s D e n k e n , F ü h l e n und s o z i a l e V e r h a l t e n a n d e r e n V o l k s k r e i s e n g e g e n ü b e r i r g e n d w i e b e i n f l u s s e n und l ä h m e n . In d i e s e r p ä d a g o g i s c h e n Z i e l s e t z u n g w e r d e n Sie b e i u n s , g l a u b e ich, v ö l l i g e B e r e i t w i l l i g k e i t finden . A b e r w e n n w i r nun d i e U n e n t g e l t l i c h k e i t d e s S c h u l b e s u c h e s w i r k l i c h m i t e r n s t l i c h e r und l e t z t e r F o l g e r i c h t i g k e i t d u r c h f ü h r t e n , d a n n w ä r e d o c h d e r A u f s t i e g i m Sinne d e r B e g a b u n g g e w ä h r l e i s t e t . D a n n gibt e s keine klassenmäßigen durch das Portemonnaie/ler E l t e r n irgendwie vorb e s t i m m t e n M ö g l i c h k e i t e n an Schulen. Man m u ß d a n n a l l e r d i n g s d a m i t e r n s t m a c h e n , d a ß m a n k e i n e S c h r u m p f h u m a n i s t e n auf die M e n s c h h e i t l o s l ä ß t , s o n d e r n a l l e d i e j e n i g e n S c h ü l e r , d i e s i c h a l s u n g e e i g n e t für d i e O b e r stufe e r w e i s e n , d a h i n v e r w e i s t , wo s i e i h r e v i e l l e i c h t v o r h a n d e n e n F ä h i g k e i t e n n u t z b r i n g e n d v e r w e n d e n können, und s i e n i c h t e i n e m für b e i d e T e i le u n f r u c h t b a r e n U n t e r r i c h t ü b e r l ä ß t . Wie k a n n m a n a b e r j e t z t a u s a l t e r A b n e i g u n g g e g e n ü b e r d e r h ö h e r e n Schule von f r ü h e r , d i e m i t s e h r u n f r u c h t b a r e n p ä d a g o g i s c h e n Motiven und A u f s t i e g s f o r m e n b e l a s t e t w a r , a u c h e i n e offenbar v o r h a n d e n e Abneigung g e g e n die O b e r s t u f e e i n e r n e u e n e i n h e i t l i c h e n G r u n d s c h u l e v e r b i n d e n ? - Da w i r d m a n d o c h d e r T a t s a c h e n i c h t g e r e c h t , d a ß s i c h h i e r g a n z g r o ß e W a n d l u n g e n i m A u f s t i e g und in d e r A u s l e s e v o l l z i e h e n sollen. Wenn H e r r W e i g e l t n e u l i c h in e i n e m A u f s a t z i m ' ' T a g e s S p i e g e l " e r k l ä r t e , e s s o l l t e k e i n B i l d u n g s m o n o p o l g e b e n , so i s t i h m , g l a u b e ich, b e i d e r Ü b e r s c h r i f t i r g e n d w i e die F e d e r a u s g e r u t s c h t . E i n e w i r k l i c h v o r h a n d e n e Bildung von P e r s ö n l i c h k e i t e n e r z e u g t e i n z i g a r t i g e L e i s t u n g e n und W i r k u n g s m ö g l i c h k e i t e n auf den a d ä q u a t e n G e b i e t e n . Da sind d a n n Monopole n a t ü r l i c h . Monopole für T a l e n t e und C h a r a k t e r e z u r E r z i e l u n g von b e s c h e i d e n e n B i l d u n g s f r ü c h t e n k a n n m a n n i c h t a b s c h a f f e n . Wir w o l l e n k e i n e H a l b b i l d u n g und k e i n e schiebe Bildung h a b e n , in k e i n e m S i n n e . A b e r m a n d a r f s i c h d o c h n i c h t m i t A b n e i g u n g und bein'aihe m i t Haß - g e l e g e n t l i c h k l a n g e s so d u r c h - d e r F o r m d e r O b e r s c h u l e zuwenden, w e i l f r ü h e r e t w a s ganz a n d e r e s , v i e l l e i c h t das alte Gymnasium, ungünstige pädagogische F r ü c h t e h e r v o r g e b r a c h t hat. D a d u r c h , f ü r c h t e ich, w e r d e n w i r auf die H a l b b i l d u n g z u s t e u e r n , wenn m a n glaubt, ein so d i f f i c i l e s G e b i l d e wie etwa die E i n f ü h r u n g j u n g e r M e n s c h e n in d i e G r i e c h i s c h e S p r a c h e in v i e r J a h r e n abtun zu k ö n n e n . D a s h a l t e ich für völlig unmöglich. Das wird eine t r a u r i g e Halbheit e r z e u g e n .
