Ein Traum hatte es ihr gesagt. Sie be- 
hauptete es. Aber es war so. Wer wußte es 
sonst vorherzusagen ? 
Er selber wußte es nicht. 
Wunderbares Kind -- ganz wie im Märchen =- 
wie im Märchen =.

An einem der nächsten Sonntage war der 
Korso in der Charlottenburger Allee wieder einmal 
ganz besonders glänzend. Das si<höne November- 
wetter hatte viele Tausende hinausgeto>t. Es 
war das letzte Rennen in dieser Saison und was 
Berlin an sportlustigen Elementen beherbergte, 
das hatte es heute für eine Ehrenpflicht betrachtet, 
den Abschied von der liebgewordenen Bahn feiern 
zu helfen. 
In vier unabsehbaren Reihen fuhren die 
Wagen Queue. 
Wie eine ungeheure, buntfarbige Schlange 
wälzte sich der wogende Troß zwischen den dichten 
s<warzen Mensc<henmassen, welche die Seitenwege 
füllten , hindurch. 
Es war ein Anbli>, der sogar dem Bewohner
