45 45 i h r e r G e m e i n s c h a f t L e b e n d e s a n s i e h t . Sie sollen w i s s e n , d a ß e r voll und ganz zu i h r g e h ö r t . E r w i e d e r u m m u ß s i c h s e i n e r V e r p f l i c h t u n g i n d e r G e m e i n s c h a f t v o l l b e w u ß t s e i n . E r s o l l i m m e r in K o n t a k t m i t i h r e n P r o b l e m e n b l e i b e n . D i e s e n K e r n u n t e r r i c h t und die d a r a u f folgenden K u r s e wollen wir nicht m i t d o k t r i n ä r e r Dogmatik behandelt s e h e n ; d e n n die P r o b l e m e d e r Z e i t sind n i c h t m i t d e r S t a r r e e i n e r D o g m a t i k zu ü b e r w i n d e n . A b e r e s gibt a u c h U n t e r r i c h t s f ä c h e r , die g e m e i n s a m zu ü b e n s i n d . W a s j e d o c h die w i s s e n s c h a f t l i c h e S c h u l e b e t r i f f t , s o i s t s i c h die F r a k t i o n der S o z i a l d e m o k r a t i s c h e n P a r t e i i h r e r Bedeutung voll b e w u ß t . Sie i s t - i c h f ü h r t e d a s s c h o n e i n m a l h i e r a u s - v e r m u t l i c h d i e e i n z i g e r e a l e E x p o r t w a r e für die D e u t s c h e n ; d e n n die a n d e r e P r o d u k t i o n w i r d s i c h v e r m u t l i c h in R e p a r a t i o n e n und in d e r B e s c h a f f u n g d e s n o t w e n d i g e n L e b e n s b e d a r f e s d e s d e u t s c h e n V o l k e s e r s c h ö p f e n . Sie i s t a b e r auch e i n e A r t von I m p o r t ; d e n n g e r a d e d i e w i s s e n s c h a f t l i c h e L e i s t u n g D e u t s c h l a n d s w a r i m m e r e i n e A t t r a k t i o n für d i e Welt, d i e s i e a n z o g und zu u n s h e r e i n g e z o g e n h a t . W e r a l s o den Sinn d e r w i s s e n s c h a f t l i c h e n Schule b e g r e i f t , w e i ß a u c h , d a ß m a n e i n e e n t s p r e c h e n d e S c h u l z e i t für s i e a n s e t z e n m u ß . Wo d i e E i n h a l t u n g e i n e s b e s t i m m t e n L e h r p l a n e s n o t w e n d i g i s t , b r a u c h t m a n eben a u c h e i n e b e s t i m m t e F r i s t , u m d a s zu l e r n e n , w a s g e l e r n t w e r d e n m u ß . Doch g l a u b e n w i r , d a ß d a s Eingliedern der Schüler nach b e s t i m m t e n Begabungen geistiger, künstler i s c h e r o d e r m a n u e l l e r A r t d o c h e i n e R e i h e von K i n d e r n z u s a m m e n f a ß t , d i e v i e l l e i c h t m e h r in k ü r z e r e r Z e i t b e w ä l t i g e n k ö n n e n a l s z u v o r , wo d i e se T r e n n u n g d e r B e g a b u n g e n w e n i g e r v o r g e n o m m e n w a r , wo eben die Wünsche d e r Elternschaft allein ausschlaggebend waren, so daß a l s o anz u n e h m e n i s t , d a ß a u c h die h ö h e r e S c h u l e , s o g a r d a s h u m a n i s t i s c h e G y m n a s i u m s t a t t in e i n e r 8 - j ä h r i g e n S c h u l z e i t in e i n e r 6 - j ä h r i g e n S c h u l z e i t e r o b e r t werden kann. W e i l w i r die w i s s e n s c h a f t l i c h e L e i s t u n g pflegen w o l l e n , m ü s s e n w i r a b e r a u c h d e m s p ä t e n t w i c k e l t e n Kinde C h a n c e n l a s s e n . N i c h t a l l e K i n d e r sind g l e i c h früh e n t w i c k e l t . So k ö n n e n d i e s e K i n d e r a u c h s p ä t e r , w e n n s i c h i h r e W ü n s c h e und d e r A u s d r u c k i h r e r B e g a b u n g ä n d e r n , an den Z w e i g a n s c h l i e ß e n , d e r für s i e d e r g e m ä ß e i s t , s o d a ß k e i n e K r a f t in i h r e m W e r t v e r l o r e n geht. Natürlich wird bei s p ä t e r e r E r k e n n t n i s , bei sehr spät eins e t z e n d e n B e g a b u n g e n i m m e r ein Z e i t v e r l u s t n o t w e n d i g s e i n : d e n n sie w e r d e n a u c h von e i n e m f r ü h r e i f e n M e n s c h e n , d e r m i t e i n e m Mal a l s 1 7 - j ä h r i g e r f e s t s t e l l e n m u ß , d a ß e r s t e h e n b l e i b t , d a ß e r v i e l g e e i g n e t e r für ein m a n u e l l e s G e b i e t w ä r e , n i c h t e r w a r t e n , d a ß e r die L e h r z e i t , d i e b i s h e r d r e i J a h r e b e t r u g , nun in e i n e m J a h r ü b e r w i n d e n k a n n . W i c h t i g i s t a b e r a u c h , d a ß die B e r u f s s c h u l e e r n s t g e n o m m e n w i r d , d a ß d o r t d a s Kind e i n a l l g e m e i n e s B i l d u n g s g u t e r h a l t , d a s i h m in s e i n e m g a n z e n L e b e n und für den F a l l d e r b e r u f l i c h e n U m s c h u l u n g von B e d e u t u n g
